Q. I don't have a computer or internet access at home, how will I know when my video will be shown

A. It will be shown on the date of the person's birthday, and if you provide us with your mobile telephone number we will send you a text informing you in which half hour slot it will be broadcast.

Q. Can I choose what time in the day my video will be broadcast.

A. No, we have to slot it in to suit our production schedules, however the earlier you make your booking and provide us with your tape the better your time frame will be.

Q. Can I make my Video in any location.

A. Yes, providing that you have obtained any necessary permission. As your Video is going to be broadcast you need to obtain permission to film from the owner of any identifiable location before we can show it. This means that before you film in any Public Park or Street you need permission from the local council, and on any Bus or Train you need the Transport Companies permission. You need to send us a copy of the permission granted to you along with your video. For further information see our legal restrications section.

Q. I want to send a greeting to my Wife/Girlfriend/Husband can they be seen on Video as well.

A. Yes, if you shoot your Video sitting or standing side by side, you could include the birthday person in the centre of a group if you wish.

Q. I want to surprise my Wife/Girlfriend/Husband with a greeting, how can I include them in the Video without them knowing about it until it is broadcast.

A. There are two ways to do this: 1. Shoot your greeting video with you standing or sitting on one side of the frame looking slightly towards the centre of the frame, and on a separate part of the tape shoot the 'Birthday Person' on the opposite side of the frame again looking slightly towards the centre of the frame. 2. Shoot your greeting video standing or sitting on one side of the frame, and include a good quality still photograph of the Birthday Person which we will try to include on the other side of the frame. In either case you need to advise us of your requirements and there is Professional Editing fee involved at the booking stage.

Q. My Video is over 2 minutes long, will you show all of it.

A. Not unless you have booked and paid for the appropriate time slot. Any greetings longer than 60 secs. Request a quote by Email to:- Elite@birthdaytv.com

Q. Can I make my video in a Pub or Restaurant.

A. Yes, providing you have the owners written permission, see our legal restrictoins.

Q. Will you return my video tape.

A. No, we regret that we are unable to return any tapes because of the amount of administration involved.

Q. I tried 9 different takes all on the same tape, and the one I like best is one of the middle ones, what should I do.

A. Send the tape to us as it is and include a note of which 'Take' you would like us to use, and if you can mention the reference numbers on the tape where your clip begins that would be very helpful. If your message is on tape, then please send it to us together with an accompanying order form which you can print here. If you don't have a printer, then just copy the key information on the form into an accompanying letter.

Remember to tell us on this form where on the tape the message is. Then in addition give us a short description of that clip. You should rewind and STOP the tape AT THE START OF THE CLIP that you want us to use before sending it in.

Q. Will I see my own video on Television.

A. Yes, providing it meets our criteria for quality, see our How to Video section, and it does not contravene any OFCOM regulations.

Q .If my Video is of a very poor quality will you still show it on Television.

A. That depends on the reasons for the poor quality, our production staff may be able to improve the quality to an acceptable standard, if not, they will contact you, advise you about the problems, suggest ways to improve it and ask you to redo it and send it to us again.

Q. What if some of my friends don't have Sky TV.

A. If you provide their Email addresses then we will notify them to watch your Video on their computer with our streaming video.

Q. Will my Video be broadcast more than once.

A. Probably not, although it certain exceptional circumstances it might be.

Q. How will I know what time my video will be broadcast.

A. We will inform you, and all your friends, by Email which half hour time slot your video has been scheduled in.

Q. Can I record it on my VCR or DVD recorder.

A. Yes, as long as you have SKY TV and your recorder programmed to your half hour time slot there should not be a problem.

Q. What if I or my friends are on holiday on my birthday.

A. Program your Video/DVD recorder to record the half hour time slot on our channel while you are away, if you are holidaying in Europe many English owned Bars and Apartments have Sky TV, so ask them if you can watch on their set. Don't forget the time difference. If you provide their Email addresses then we will notify them to watch your Video on their computer with our streaming video, or in an internet cafe.

Q. What if I have friends and family who live or work overseas.

A. If they are in Europe and have access to SKY TV then - no problem. If they don't have Sky or are outside Europe and they have internet access then they can see your streaming video on their computer.
